ABSTRACT: Pfizer Global Research & Development, through a grant from the Pfizer Education Initiative, and in collaboration with The Keystone Center (of Keystone, Colorado), is developing an interdisciplinary middle school module focused on environmental sustainability and green chemistry. Middle school students learn about the real world challenges of product development while balancing the economic, social and environmental bottom lines. Green chemistry is introduced as a means to succeed in business while ensuring natural resources are available for future generations. The presentation will provide an overview of the ten-day module and the drivers for its development.
